This phone has tons of features, a large colour display, very good contact management (address book) and it’s fun to use. Sagem phones (I’ve owned 2 sagems before) also have a very good price/features ratio, but the support behind Siemens is undoubtedly superior. However, there are many issues to improve.
Pros: Lots of information for each contact and room for 1.000 contacts. Large, bright display. Stylish and compact. Lots of support information and downloads at the Siemens site.
Cons: Menu structure is not intuitive. Keypad is too compact, making it hard to use and definitively impossible to enter anything without looking at the keypad. Poor sound quality. Allows exporting contacts from Outlook to the phone (through the “Mobile Phone Manager” software), but does not allow Synchronization and does not handle directly other Outlook items (like appointments and tasks). Many tasks are very slow (clearing the missing-calls lists can take over 1 minute) so you have to adapt to the phone’s speed.
Bottom Line: It’s a very good phone and I’m fairly happy with it, but it didn’t exceed my expectations. If you’re on a tight budget, it’s a very good choice. If you can spend a little bit more, then you should look at other brands/models.
